Bushcamp to Bushcamp

While putting on my shoes I noticed the tear had doubled in size since I’d looked at it last. With over 100 mile to go until my next town, I had to hope for the best.
I spent the morning winding my way through a forest still damp from the night of rain.
When I reached Lake Sumner the trail left the trees in favor of grassland.
Upon crossing a suspension bridge I entered the forest once again, passing two huts without stopping.
A few hours later I was back in flat grassland where the going was easy.
This was sorta creepy…
I spent the afternoon ascending towards Harper Pass.
The views from the top were rad, but the scramble down was not.
Just before dusk I found some flat grass to call home for the night.
Cheers!
I love the horse pic.
