PCT Day 120

Snoqualmie to Bushcamp

7 miles

Mile 2400.1

We slept in and it felt great. Refreshed, we packed up and headed to The Pancake House for some much needed calories. We both ordered the veggie omelette with bacon and a coffee.

The omelette was fantastic! Seriously…probably the best omelette I’ve ever had. Props Pancake House! After eating, we migrated to the patio at Aardvark Express to hangout while I took care of some phone chores. The owner offered us a free beer, so that was neat!

I left my old backpack in the care of the Aardvark Express owner, with plans to mail it home on my trip back south. By noon we were ready to hit the trail.

After a short road walk we were back on the PCT heading up a long ascent as we made our way to Gravel Lake.

It was Sunday, and the trail was PACKED with trail runners. Every few minutes a new person shot by us, making progress annoyingly slow.

Fortunately, we didn’t plan on going far…

By 5 we’d reached Gravel Lake, where we setup camp and enjoyed dinner sitting on the bank of the lake.

It was a nice spot, and made for a pleasant evening.

Cheers!
